Monsterdex is a simple mobile app that lets you track your monster collection. You can take photos with your device camera or choose images from your library to attach to items in your collection. Monsterdex does not create accounts, does not use a backend server, and does not send your data to us. All app content (including photos and notes you add) is stored locally on your device’s storage.
Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or receive personal data on our servers because we do not operate any servers for this app. The app may access the following on your device to provide core functionality:
- Camera – to take photos you choose to attach to your collection.
- Photos / Media Library – to let you pick images from your device to attach to your collection.
- Local (on-device) storage – to save your collection data and images on your device.
On newer Android versions, this corresponds to permissions such as android.permission.CAMERA and media library access (e.g., READ_MEDIA_IMAGES). The app does not request location or microphone access.
Advertising (AdMob)
Monsterdex displays ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and usage information to provide personalized or non‑personalized ads, subject to your settings and local law. We do not control the data collected by AdMob.

If required in your region (e.g., EEA/UK), you may be shown a consent prompt. You can change your ad preferences using your device settings and Google’s Ad Settings above.
Data Storage and Retention
All content you add in Monsterdex is saved only on your device. We do not have access to it. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, your collection and photos will be permanently deleted from your device. We do not maintain remote backups.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Ads are served by Google AdMob as described above.
Children’s Privacy
Monsterdex is not directed to children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information via AdMob beyond what is permitted, please contact us and we will work with Google to address the issue.
Your Choices and Controls
- You can revoke Camera or Photos permissions at any time in your device settings. Core photo features may stop working without those permissions.
- You can manage ad personalization via your device settings and Google’s Ad Settings.
- Because we do not operate accounts or servers, requests to access, export, or delete data are handled by you on your device. Deleting the app will remove all app data stored locally.
Security
Your data stays on your device. Please keep your device secure (e.g., screen lock, OS updates). No method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
International & Regional Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws. Since Monsterdex does not collect or store your data on our servers, most rights (access, correction, deletion) can be exercised directly on your device by editing or deleting your data or uninstalling the app. For ad‑related data collected by Google, please see Google’s links above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
